Peripheral arterial disease

Peripheral arterial disease can make your legs cramp.  Importantly,  it can cause blockages in the arteries that travel to the brain and cause strokes. Those with peripheral arterial disease should visit with a cardiovascular specialist to consider exercise programs or medications to improve their symptoms. Depending on the amount of peripheral arterial disease, we may suggest angioplasty or procedures to reduce the amount of blockage in the arteries. During your consultation, we'll assess all your options and you can choose what you feel most comfortable with.

Our physicians can discuss all the details so you can make an informed decision.
